The Artisans

These pieces are embroidered by talented Egyptian women from areas like Siwa, Sinai and the Nile Valley, where there’s a rich history of handicrafts and traditional embroidery. In attempting to revive these traditions and preserve them from dying, a local designer started using sections of fabric embroidered by these women in their local communities to create unique, modern pieces, injected with elements of Egyptian heritage.
